Short Bio

Praised for her “passion in every note” (Artburst Miami) and “expressive, ferocious, and thrilling performances” (La Scena Musicale), Katherine Fortunato is a percussionist based in Brooklyn who has made a name for herself as a fearless performer. She has collaborated with musical trailblazers like Sandbox Percussion, Linda May Han Oh, Heartbeat Opera, and Metropolis Ensemble. 

In 2025 she performed in five sold out performances of Christopher Cerrone’s “In a Grove” at PROTOTYPE Festival and was a featured percussionist in Heartbeat Opera’s “Salome”, which made the New York Time’s “Best Classical Performances of 2025” and “Best Classical Music of 2025, So Far”, respectively.
